Kalmadi not going for London Olympics as part of IOA: Tarlochan Singh

The vice-president of the Indian Olympic Association - Tarlochan Singh - has said that Suresh Kalmadi will not attend the London Games as part of the IOA delegation.

Kalmadi, the sacked Commonwealth Games Organising Committee chairman, was given permission to attend the Olympics by the Delhi High Court on Friday. Tarlochan Singh however said Kalmadi has been invited by the Asian Athletics Association. ( Related read: Kalmadi's presence will encourage athletes: Athletics coach)

Kalmadi is a member of AAA and had in his appeal earlier in the week said that he was expected to attend certain important events during the course of the sporting event.
