About Lord's Cricket Ground
Wickets and balls will be replaced by bows and arrows for eight days at the Lord's Cricket Ground, which, when not serving as an Olympic archery venue, is better known as "the home of cricket."
Home to nearby clubs - including the world-famous Marylebone Cricket Club and its museum - for almost 200 years, the scaled down competition and spectator areas will hold crowds of 4,500 for archery. The event will take place in front of the main pavillion. While bowls, tennis, archery and other such sports have also been played here, rugby and football await their chance to make a debut.
A proposal to expand it is also underway which can bring in an apartment and an ice-rink apart from an increased capacity of 10,000 here.
There are nine stands here:
* The Pavilion
* Warner Stand
* Grand Stand
* Compton Stand
* Media Centre
* Edrich Stand
* Mound Stand
* Tavern Stand
* Allen Stand
