It is a packed Friday for Indian athletes participating in the London Olympic Games. While the player to watch out for primarily is Saina Nehwal, others like pugilist Vikas Krishnan will also battle it out to stay in the hunt for a medal.
While India's medal count so far only has a single bronze, bagged by shooter Gagan Narang (who will feature today in the 50m rifle prone event), another from badminton may well be assured as Saina takes on Yihan Wang. Wang is world number 1 and has never lost to the Indian but Saina too, is in prime form.
The same cannot be said about the Indian hockey team. With two defeats threatening their prospects in the ongoing Olympics, coach Michael Nobbs and his side have an uphill task against a rampaging German side.
In tennis, Leander Paes and Saina Mirza will face Max Mirnyi and Victoria Azarenka while Indians are also in the field for the men`s shot put, women's discus throw and women's triple jump events.
