New Delhi:

The Indian Premier League matches have come under a cloud of security threats with sources revealing that the LeT and the Indian Mujahideen might plan an attack.

The Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore is being considered as the most sensitive location with the Madhya Pradesh government already informing the Home Ministry about the situation and has in turn, been directed to step up security measures. "We are not taking any chances on whatever information we have received. So, we have alerted the Madhya Pradesh government to take all necessary security measures immediately," a Home Ministry official said.

The intelligence inputs received by the Home Ministry hint at strong possibilities of a strike in the wake of recent developments in the Indian sub-continent.

The Kochi Tuskers are scheduled to take on the Kings XI Punjab here on Friday and the Inspector General of Intelligence, Ashok Kumar Soni told NDTV that all proper security measures are being put into place and that the local police and the state government are not taking any chances. "Security equipments and man-power is being mobilised and intelligence inputs are being strengthened further to avoid any incident. Though there is no specific alert for a terror strike, we will be on high alert," he said.
