Injured Vijay doubtful for Wednesday's game

Injured Chennai Super Kings opener Murali Vijay is a doubtful starter for the Indian Premier League match against Pune Warriors at the D Y Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Wednesday.

"A call on Vijay is to be taken tomorrow," informed sources in the Super Kings team on Tuesday.

The Chennai opener, who has scored 180 runs in six matches so far at a modest average of 30, strained his hamstring while batting in the previous game against the same opponents at the Chidambaram Stadium.

He did not field when the Warriors chased the target and fell short by 25 runs. In place of Vijay, his Tamil Nadu Ranji Trophy teammate Abhinav Mukund fielded.
