The victorious Chennai Super Kings players celebrated their IPL triumph partying hard till the wee hours on Sunday while their skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni enjoyed the pulsating Champions League football final between Barcelona and Manchester United.
According to an eye-witness, the Indian captain along with his wife Sakshi Singh Rawat went straight to their room to catch up the last 45 minutes of the final of world's most prestigious club football tournament.
It is a well known fact that Dhoni is an ardent United fan and must have been disappointed after the Red Devils from England lost 1-3 to the Catalan giants.
"Dhoni might have been a touch disappointed after United's defeat but nonetheless he did not show if off. He joined the party late and was seen mixing up with the players, cheering them," a hotel source informed.
After nearly two months of high voltage action, the CSK players let their hair down by partying at the Park Sheraton Hotel's famous discotheque 'Dublin'.
Dhoni and Sakshi are said to have joined the others after the Champions League final got over. However the couple didn't stay long and retired to their room while others continued to party.
Some of the CSK players enjoyed small get-togethers in their respective rooms as most of the Indian players had morning flight to catch.
The hit opening pair of Michael Hussey and Murali Vijay, who laid the foundation of the big win against Bangalore, partied together at the latter's room till early hours of Sunday morning.
Around afternoon on Sunday, almost all domestic players of the team left for airport for their respective cities. The overseas players are expected to leave by the evening.
Some of the overseas and domestic players were seen wishing the West Indies-bound Indian team members of CSK to do well at the Caribbean.
