He played patiently thereon, before accelerating towards the end and slamming his third half-century of the season.

IPL 2026 Final LIVE: Terrific bowling effort by RCB

The 100-run mark is up for Gujarat Titans in the 15th over. They still have some batters to come, with Sundar and Tewatia at the crease now, and Holder and Rashid to come. They'll hope to get to at least 150 from here.

GT 105/5 (15)

RCB vs GT LIVE: OUT! GT 5 down

GONE! Josh Hazlewood strikes! The Australian pacer delivers in his first over back into the attack. Arshad Khan is caught off-guard by the uneven bounce, and he ends up pulling it half-heartedly, straight to Rasikh Salam Dar at fine-leg.

Half the GT batting is back into the dugout!

GT 99/5 (14.1)

Rajat Patidar is furious with the call and having an intense chat with the on-field. Virat Kohli looks stunned too.

GT 63/3 (10)

RCB vs GT LIVE: Good news for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi?

Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan both failing to score big has left Vaibhav Sooryavanshi clear at the top of the Orange Cap (most runs) list. Unless Virat Kohli somehow scores 177 runs tonight, Sooryavanshi will have locked in the Orange Cap.

RCB vs GT LIVE: OUT! RCB strike again

GONE! Nishant Sindhu's cameo ends! He looks to go big on the final ball of the eighth over, bowled by Rasikh Dar, but ends up hitting it straight to the man at deep mid-wicket. It's a comfortable catch by Devdutt Padikkal.

GT are now three wickets down!

GT 55/3 (8)

RCB vs GT LIVE: 50 up for GT in 6.5 overs

The 50-run mark comes up for Gujarat Titans in the seventh over. Nishant Sindhu and Jos Buttler exchange singles as Krunal Pandya comes in to bowl his first over. It's a tidy one, just 5 off it.

GT 50/2 (7)

RCB vs GT LIVE: FOUR! GT 45/2 after powerplay

Nishant Sindhu gets another boundary, helped along through fine-leg. But RCB will certainly be the happier side after the powerplay. Two huge wickets - Gill and Sudharsan are back in the hut. It's already a mountain to climb for GT.

GT 45/2 (6)

RCB vs GT LIVE: FOUR, FOUR!

Two boundaries for Nishant Sindhu! He slams it over the circle and gets 4 against Hazlewood. Next ball, he places it towards third-man, and a fielding error gives him 4 more. Jos Buttler at the other end has also slammed a boundary.

GT 39/2 (5)

RCB vs GT LIVE: OUT! Sai Sudharsan departs!

GONE! Sai Sudharsan departs! Gujarat Titans have lost their two reliable openers in the powerplay. Sudharsan completely mistimes his pull against Bhuvneshwar, the ball goes high into the air, and wicket-keeper Jitesh Sharma completes the catch!

GT are 2 down! Gill 10, Sudharsan 12.

GT 26/2 (3.4)

RCB vs GT LIVE: FOUR, OUT! Gill gone!

GONE! Huge, huge moment in the IPL 2026 final! Shubman Gill slams Josh Hazlewood for 4 with a ferocious pull, but the Aussie pacer takes his revenge next ball. Gill miscues his shot, it goes straight up, and it's opposition captain Rajat Patidar who completes the catch!

Shubman Gill has to walk back for just 10 on the final day.

GT 22/1 (2.2)

RCB vs GT LIVE: FOUR! Gill's first boundary

Cracking shot for 4! Shubman Gill is beaten a couple of times by some excellent delivereies from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, but then he slams a lovely cover drive for his first boundary of the game. Still, just 5 of the second over.

GT 18/0 (2)

RCB vs GT LIVE: DRS twist in 1st over!

Sai Sudharsan begins with a boundary down fine-leg, then a boundary through the covers, but then he is given out caught behind on the fifth ball of the over! Short from Duffy, Sudharsan looks to hook it, but he doesn't time it, and it's caught by Jitesh.

The umpire gave it out, but Sudharsan took a DRS review. UltraEdge shows no spike, so Sudharsan survives! Shubman Gill gets off the mark on the final ball.

GT 13/0 (1)

RCB vs GT LIVE: Can Bhuvneshwar deliver one last time?

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has experienced a renaissance season at the age of 36, picking up 26 wickets. But will he be able to deliver when it matters most, in the final? How he fares against Gill and Sai Sudharsan could decide the outcome of the match.

RCB vs GT LIVE: Pressure on Gill, Sai Sudharsan

Gujarat Titans' reliable opening pair have delivered time and again this season, but can they do it one final time? Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan have amassed a total of 1,432 runs in IPL 2026, but they face their biggest challenge yet tonight, up against Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jacob Duffy and Josh Hazlewood!

RCB vs GT LIVE: RCB playing XI

Royal Challengers Bengaluru XI vs GT: Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar (c), Jitesh Sharma (wk), Tim David, Krunal Pandya, Romario Shepherd, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jacob Duffy, Josh Hazlewood, Rasikh Salam Dar.

Patidar said 'same team' at the toss, so expect Venkatesh Iyer to be the Impact Player, and not Phil Salt. Both Romario Shepherd and Jacob Duffy are playing!

Royal Challengers Bengaluru wins the toss and opts to bowl! Shubman Gill calls 'heads' but it falls 'tails'. However, Gill says that he is happy with Patidar's decision, stating that he wanted to bat first.

RCB vs GT LIVE: History favours RCB

Apart from the head-to-head record, one more historical factos favours RCB heading into the final. Since 2018, the winner of Qualifier 1 has won the IPL final every single time. RCB, having won Qualifier 1, will be favourites to beat GT again.

RCB vs GT LIVE: 10 minutes to toss time

We are just 10 minutes away from toss time at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Rajat Patidar will lead RCB, Shubman Gill will skipper GT. A massive crowd in attendance, and millions watching from home. Stay tuned folks, it's nearly game time.

RCB vs GT LIVE: Pitch report from Ahmedabad

"It's a mixed soil wicket, a mixture of red and black soil. I think that makes it a very, very good batting wicket first up. The first thing I notice when I come and look at it is that it's very even and very flat. That doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to be an absolute belter. I think that this might be slightly on the slower side. If you win the toss, I think you're chasing later on. It gets better and better," say Aaron Finch and Ian Bishop at the pitch report.

IPL 2026 Final LIVE: Virat Kohli warming up

Live visuals from the stadium: Virat Kohli has just walked out for his warm-ups ahead of the match. The Gujarat Titans team is also warming up, with Shubman Gill doing his drills alongside Mohammed Siraj.

IPL 2026 Final LIVE: Toss in 30 minutes

We are just about half an hour away from toss time in the IPL 2026 final in Ahmedabad. A crowd in excess of 100,000 people is expected at the Narendra Modi Stadium for the blockbuster clash tonight!

IPL 2026 Final LIVE: Romario Shepherd or Jacob Duffy?

RCB's second selection dilemma comes in the form of selecting one of Romario Shepherd or Jacob Duffy. Duffy played in Qualifier 1, in seam-friendly conditions in Ahmedabad. However, Shepherd might get the nod today, given the pressure of a final and the need for an extra batter.

RCB vs GT LIVE: Win toss, bat or bowl?

It will be very interesting to see what the toss-winning captain elects to do. Bowling first has been the trend of IPL 2026, but cast your minds back to the T20 World Cup final at this very stadium, and Team India batted first and won!

RCB vs GT LIVE: Big battle for MVP award

15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi leads the way, but Kagiso Rabada, Shubman Gill and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are all in with a realistic shot at fighting for the IPL 2026 Most Valuable Player (MVP) award tonight.

Sooryavanshi is first with 436.5 points, with Kagiso Rabada second on 408 points, Shubman Gill fourth on 364.5 and Bhuvneshwar Kumar fifth on 354.5.

RCB vs GT LIVE: Venkatesh Iyer or Phil Salt?

RCB's star opener Phil Salt played the first six matches, but then has been out injured. Although he has been available for selection in the last couple of games, RCB have not risked playing him, instead sticking with the in-form Venkatesh Iyer at the top.

With Venkatesh striking well and boasting a good record in IPL finals, RCB may choose to stay with the left-hander for tonight's big clash.

RCB vs GT LIVE: GT predicted XI

GT possible playing XI: Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill (c), Jos Buttler (wk), Nishant Sindhu, Washington Sundar, Jason Holder, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Sai Kishore.

One spot is up for grabs, with Sai Kishore, Arshad Khan and Kulwant Khejroliya likely to fight it out for the final bowler.

RCB vs GT LIVE: RCB predicted XI

Romario Shepherd could come back in place of Jacob Duffy to add more batting firepower.

RCB vs GT LIVE: Virat Kohli's big worry

For all his success and consistency, Virat Kohli does not boast a particular envious record in IPL finals. In his 4 IPL final appearances till date, Kohli has made 139 runs at an average of 34.75 and a poor strike-rate of 126.36. Can he finally make his mark in the biggest game of the IPL tonight?

RCB vs GT LIVE: GT's reliable duo

Gujarat Titans openers Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill have been pillars of consistency for multiple seasons now, but IPL 2026 has arguably been their best year as a pair. Together, Gill and Sai Sudharsan have amassed nearly 1,500 runs this season, and are two of only three players to score 700+ runs. A good start from them is instrumental to GT's success in the final, even more so given their shaky middle-order.

RCB vs GT LIVE: Yellow Alert in Ahmedabad

Is there a threat of rain? According to AccuWeather, the chance of precipitation is 0% for the entire evening on Sunday. However, as per the weather forecast, there is also a Yellow Alert in Ahmedabad due to the possibility of thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, there is set to be a direct battle for the Purple Cap. GT's Kagiso Rabada (28 wickets) is slightly ahead of RCB's Bhuvneshwar Kumar (26 wickets).

RCB vs GT LIVE: Rs 20 crore on the line!

The IPL winning team receives a grand cash prize of Rs 20 crore! RCB and GT will be fighting it out for the huge prize today, along with the IPL 2026 trophy.

RCB vs GT LIVE: The Rs 68.75 crore battle

A major role is set to be played by the bowling units of RCB and GT in deciding today's final. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (Rs 10.75 crore), Josh Hazlewood (Rs 12.5 crore) and Rasikh Dar (Rs 6 crore) have been a potent trio all season.

On the other hand, GT's pace attack has arguably been better. Kagiso Rabada (Rs 10.75 crore), Mohammed Siraj (Rs 12.25 crore), Prasidh Krishna (Rs 9.5 crore) and Jason Holder (Rs 7 crore) all have more than 16 wickets this season!

Together, the 7 players cost a combined Rs 68.75 crore!
