2.5 - Rishabh Pant has taken a blinder here! Mohammed Shami has removed Yashasvi Jaiswal! It was a well-directed bouncer from the veteran pacer as he cramped Jaiswal for room. The southpaw tried to pull it on the leg side but edged the ball behind. Pant timed his jump to perfection and took a one-handed stunner.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has become the fastest batter (227 balls) to score 500 IPL runs in terms of the number of balls taken. He needed only two runs to reach the mark before this innings. He smashed Prince Yadav for a four to achieve the big feat. The Indian teenager has broken the previous record of Glenn Maxwell, who took 260 balls to reach the mark.

Talking about Nicholas Pooran's poor form, he said, "It's a bit challenging, but at the same time, a player who has shown so much potential in the top stage, you want to trust him regardless of whatever he's doing. When you talk about him, he's really important for our team. And that was the love and care is all about towards Nicholas Pooran."

The coin lands in favour of Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant and he has opted to bowl first against Rajasthan Royals. LSG have included Mayank Yadav, the pacer has clocked 156.7 kmph in IPL, in their Playing XI tonight.

Rajasthan Royals appear a stronger unit than LSG, who are languishing in ninth place after three consecutive losses. RR boast one of the most effective opening pairs this season, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in fine form and Yashasvi Jaiswal providing consistent starts. LSG bowlers will need early breakthroughs to stay competitive.

Riyan Parag, a surprise choice as Rajasthan Royals skipper after Sanju Samon's exit, has endured a pathetic run with the bat, registering three single-digit scores in six innings with a highest of just 20 so far. The top-three, in Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel, has been RR's main force with the bat this season, but the side has often struggled when they fail. While Parag is woefully out of touch, veteran Ravindra Jadeja has looked a shadow of his past self, while Guyanese big-hitter Shimron Hetmyer (39 runs from four innings) is yet to fire.
