Indian Super League: 'Miffed' Roberto Carlos Won't Return to Delhi Dynamos F.C.

Delhi Dynamos' marquee player-cum-manager Roberto Carlos dropped a bomb ahead of his team's semi-final clash against FC Goa on Friday. The Brazilian great shocked everyone as he declared that he would not come back for next year's Indian Super League. "I won't be returning next year.Thanks a lot for all the love and support. If you perform well, then you get many good offers.That's how it goes," Carlos said ahead of his team's match.
"I still have not decided where I will be joining. I won't be here next season. Now, I just want to speak about the ISL. I still have three matches to go here. Whenever I sign with another club, you will know. Very soon."
Delhi Dynamos finished fifth in the 2014 ISL, but have been in a stellar form this year to reach the semi-finals.
According to sources, Carlos is not happy with his contract with Delhi Dynamos FC. He has also indicated that he has better offers from Carlos has got offers from clubs in Spain and Brazil.
Despite the clear indication, Delhi Dynamos FC officials went on a damage control mode.
"There is no dispute in our camp. We sit here together as one family . There is only one goal for us which is to win the trophy . We don't care about what people say about us. If people want to keep writing something which is not true and not the fact, they are most welcome to do so. We will listen to all positives and all negatives.We want to make it loud and clear that no negatives affect this camp," Prashant Agarwal, Delhi Dynamos FC president, said.
Zico Also May Not Return
Another Brazilian great Zico, coach of FC Goa, might also not return next year after soending two seasons at the helm.
"There are some offers from clubs European and Asian clubs that I am analysing. National teams can happen but it's tough because they are in preparation phase for the World Cup," Zico told The Indian Express.
"Of course, if I get long-term contract I will not be available (for FC Goa). I gave my word to owners to fulfill my two years contract and I did it. Now, let's see. I am not saying I will not come back also. Maybe."
