So that's it from us for this game. Gujarat have finally left the bottom of the table and have climbed up with this emphatic win. Bangalore, on the other hand, have lost another game and it will be now an uphill task for them to reach the playoffs. Join us back tomorrow as we have two exciting games lined up. First, Kolkata host Delhi at the Eden Gardens at 1600 local (1030 GMT), while Hyderabad go to Mohali to play against Punjab at 2000 local (1430 GMT). Till then, goodbye and take care!
Man of the Match, Andrew Tye says the execution of the hat-trick ball wasn't as good as the last time, but is glad he was able to do his part in the team's victory. When asked about Gayle's wicket, he says he just bowled on a length and is happy that the big Jamaican got out as he was looking to kick off towards the end of the Powerplay. Credits Nathu Singh and Basil Thampi for the way they bowled and mentions that they have excellent talent to go a long way. States the fans in India love cricket and that anybody who comes to play in this country really enjoys themselves.
Gujarat skipper, Suresh Raina says that they did really well in all departments and it was a complete performance tonight. Applauds Faulkner, Tye and Jadeja for bowling really well. Credits the performance of Finch. Adds that he was looking to stay in the middle so that he could counter the spinners later in the innings. Reckons that both the young quick Indian pacers have been bowling really well for them. Says that the combination they were missing is back with Jadeja and it is benefiting them. Mentions that Finch told him to stay compact at one end as he was hammering the bowlers all over the place. Ends by saying that this win would give them great confidence.
Bangalore skipper, Virat Kohli says that it is never easy to lose a game. Feels that they still have five games to go and they will look to put the pressure on the table and hope for something. Adds that his team lacked the intent which is required to play the game and that is something concerning. Mentions that pressure is taking a toll on them and they are dependent on some guys which should not be the case. Also says that the wicket does not change much during a night game. Applauds Aaron Finch for playing such a fluent knock and credits him for winning the game for Gujarat.
Virat Kohli and his men have let themselves down again. Everybody has spoken about their bowling being an issue, but it's their batting that has been largely letting them down the past couple of games. With all the firepower assembled in their ranks, they've failed to put up even a par score, let alone a good one. A lot to ponder for the skipper and the backroom staff, and even more work to be done.
A dominating win for the away side here tonight. They were right on top of this since the first ball of the game and they never backed down. Ran right through the Bangalore batting order first with Andrew Tye leading the charge, and then chased the paltry target down comfortably as Aaron Finch (who scored an explosive fifty) just went berserk. Gujarat won with a little more than 6 overs to spare and that should say everything about their victory.
That should do it! Short ball into the body, Raina pulls it away through to deep mid-wicket for a single. With that, GUJARAT WIN BY 7 WICKETS WITH 37 BALLS TO SPARE!
FOUR! Consecutive boundaries for Suresh Raina. He plays a similar shot and lofts it over the covers. This time the fielder out in the deep manages to get to the ball with a dive but can't keep it from touching the rope.
FOUR! How well has he picked the gap there? Simply amazing. Flatter and shorter outside off, Raina stays back and lofts it over extra cover. There are two men out in the deep but the gap is pierced to perfection.
Arm ball from Head, Jadeja punches it off the back foot through covers for a single.
