Virat Kohli Can Chase The 'Don': Virender Sehwag's Funny Tweet Linking Big B Blockbuster

He is not willing to compare Virat Kohli to Sachin Tendulkar, but Virender Sehwag has saluted the Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper in his own witty style.

Sehwag, who is Kings XI Punjab mentor, has always been full of praise for Kohli.

When the young Test captain was scoring runs in the ICC World T20 and India were set to play arch-rivals Pakistan in a group league match, Sehwag compared Kohli's fusillade of strokes to a shower of goli (bullets) that India and Pakistan Army exchange regularly along the border.

Ahead of Wednesday night's RCB vs KXIP match at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Sehwag paid tribute to Kohli's stunning run with the bat with a famous dialogue from Bollywood blockbuster and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer, Don.

Kohli has been in the form of his life in IPL 2016. His 113 against Kings XI Punjab made him the first batsman to complete 4,000 IPL runs. Kohli went past Suresh Raina's 3,985 runs.

Wednesday's century was Kohli's fourth. This is the best by a player in a single T20 tournament. Michael Klinger had scored three centuries in the Natwest Blast T20 in 2015. Only Chris Gayle has scored more centuries - five -- than Kohli in all IPLs.

Kohli's amazing strike-rate came to the fore in a rain-hit game. Kohli clocked a rate of 226 during his 50-ball 113. This was his best in a T20 innings of 20 or more deliveries.

Sehwag, who knows a bit or two about strike-rates, certainly timed his comparison with the 'Don' well.
