Several Indian cricketers are building partnerships of the "permanent" kind. After Cheteshwar Pujara and Yusuf Pathan got married to their respective fiancees, it was Tamil Nadu speedster Lakshmipathy Balaji's turn to exchange rings this week.
The 31-year-old former Indian pacer got engaged to Chennai-based model Priya Thalur - spotted regularly at IPL matches and parties - on Monday. Like most celebrities in love, Balaji has always considered Thalur as his "good friend" and now it's official.
Coming as it does just days before the Indian Premier League, Balaji will need plenty of lady luck for Kolkata Knight Riders.
Mixing sheer talent with lady luck is something not completely new to the cricket pitch. When Pujara, for instance, slaughtered the Australians in a recently concluded series, wife Pooja was seen cheering each of his shots.
The better halves of the more experienced players like Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni too have been seen at stadiums on several occasions.
Several international cricketers too will now perhaps, bring their new brides to prominent cricketing fixtures with England's Alastair Cook marrying childhood sweetheart Alice Hunt earlier this year while Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan tying the knot with his American girlfriend, Umme Ahmed Shishir.
While wishes go out in troves, here is also hoping that these star performers dazzle the cricket community with even more sensational performances, now that they also have their lady lucks by their side.
