Sri Lanka have reached the final of the World Twenty20 with a 27-run win over Darren Sammy's West Indies via D/L method. Catch the highlights here. (Scorecard | Commentary | Innings report)
10.40 (IST): Man of the match, Angelo Mathews: I had to pick my bowlers, Narine wasn't an option so I had to attack at the other end. 160 I thought was a good target and I am glad that we go there. It was a very good wicket to bat on. The ball came on nicely to the bat. We have a few seniors in the side and Lasith was fantastic as captain.
10.35 (IST): Sri Lankan skipper Lasith Malinga: We just were looking forward to the batsmen doing well at the top so that the bowlers could defend. We got a good start but we fell off in the middle. Mathews played a crucial role to propel the score. With the ball, the first six overs were exceptional. The run rate was going up all the time and we were ahead on D/L. Everyone is looking forward to the final game. We just don't want to look at the opposition, we just want to play well on Sunday.
ÂÂ
10.30 (IST): West Indian skipper Darren Sammy: Disappointing to come out of the tournament like this, but credit to Sri Lanka. We have had a good run in the tournament, and it's sad we got knocked out because of D/L. That's life, but we got to move on and plan for the next tournament. Gayle and Smith have a clear idea on how they want to play. We started very well, but their offspinner bowled very well to Gayle and Smith. From there on, we were behind the eight ball. Bravo had a side strain (that's why he didn't bowl). In our team, except Ramdin everyone bowls. Russell had been bowling well and today was probably an off day. We tried to restrict team to below 150. They were off to a flier, but we did well to peg them back. They got a few more than we expected. Normally Santokie and Russell bowled very well at the back end, but today was just one of those days. Sri Lanka played very well. I was looking forward to raising the trophy, but I am now just going to sit and watch and hope that it's not one-sided. Best of luck to other teams.

09.15 (IST): Oh dear! Rain and lightening in Mirpur! The players have rushed off the field and the covers are on now. West Indies are 80/4 in 13.5 overs, 27 runs behind the par according to D/L method.
09.09 (IST): WICKET! Kulasekara has returned to strike with a massive wicket! Dwayne Bravo (30 off 19 balls) has to take a long walk back to the pavilion as he was caught by Jayawardene at deep mid-wicket. (West Indies 77/4 in 13.2 overs)
09.05 (IST): Rangana Herath's spell comes to an end with figures of 0/27. Here's how he fared today:
ÂÂ
08.53 (IST): At the halfway stage, West Indies reach 53/3, still need 108 runs to win from 60 balls. The asking rate for the Windies has gone beyond 10 runs an over.
08.48 (IST): Such has been Sri Lanka's discipline on the field so far that the Windies have managed just one boundary since the first two balls of the innings that fetched a six and four.
08.45 (IST): OUT! Sekkuge Prasanna gets a wicket off his first delivery in T20Is! He traps Lendl Simmons (4) in front of the stumps (West Indies 34/3 in 7.1 overs)
08.41 (IST): FACTOID: In his last two T20Is, Rangana Herath has combined figures of 8/28 in 7.2 overs.
08.40 (IST): The previous game's hero, Rangana Herath comes into the attack.
08.34 (IST): Lasith Malinga has two wickets in the over! He takes the pace off the ball and goes through Dwayne Smith's (17) defence. Windies are well and truly rocked here (West Indies 28/2 in 4.4 overs)
08.30 (IST): OUT! Chris Gayle's miserable stay at the wicket has been brought to an end as he plays a delivery from Lasith Malinga onto his stumps. He falls for 3 off 12 balls. (West Indies 25/1 in 4.1 overs)
08.15 (IST): West Indies are off to a flying start in their run-chase against Sri Lanka's 160/6. Seventeen runs from the first over off Kulasekara. (West Indies 17/0 in 1 over)
08.10 (IST): Dwayne Smith means business straightaway! He gets a four and six over deep mid-wicket off the first two deliveries from Nuwan Kulasekara. (West Indies 10/0 in 0.2 overs)
07.59 (IST): Sri Lanka post 160/6 against the West Indies in the first semi-final. Mathews' 40-run cameo propelled them to a good total after the West Indian bowlers had the game in their control in the middle overs. Lahiru Thirimanne (44) and Tillakaratne Dilshan (39) were the other contributors with the bat. For the Windies, Santokie finished with 2/46 while Badree bagged 1/23 and Russell 1/37.
07.50 (IST): Mathews is giving Santonkie a go here! He first gets a six over deep mid-wicket. Follows it up with a similar shot and gets a four and the third ball is sent over extra cover for four. Nineteen runs came off that over (West Indies 145/5 in 19 overs)
07.40 (IST): Massive wicket again! West Indies have continued to strike at the right moments! Lahiru Thirimanne (44) is gone after cutting a ball from Santokie straight to Simmons at point. (Sri Lanka 121/5 in 17 overs)
07.32 (IST): Oh dear! Turn away if you're a West Indian fan! Chris Gayle is down on the ground and seems to be struggling. He was backing up on a throw and seems to have been hit on the knee. More bad news as he limps off the field.
07.29 (IST): Samuels' four-over spell has come to an end. He has given away just 23 runs without a wicket. Here's how he has bowled:
ÂÂ
07.26 (IST): Massive wicket! Dilshan is run out for a run-a-ball knock of 39 as Lendl Simmons' direct hit at the base of the stumps finds Dilshan short of his crease. (Sri Lanka 91/4 om 13.3 overs)
07.23 (IST): Sunil Narine bowls another tidy over where the Lankan batsmen are happy to play him out. Windies won't mind that one bit. He has given away just eight runs in his two overs. (Sri Lanka 87/3 in 13 overs)
07.19 (IST): SIX! Thirimanne slog-sweeps Samuels over deep mid-wicket (Sri Lanka 84/3 in 12 overs)
07.10 (IST): At the halfway stage, Sri Lanka reach 65/3 vs West Indies with Dilshan (30) and Thirimanne (6) in the middle.
07.02 (IST): Medium-pacer Andre Russell comes into the attack and Dilshan welcomes him with a boundary behind square. (Sri Lanka 58/3 in 8.1 overs)
07.00 (IST): Samuel Badree finishes with figures of 1/23 in 4 overs. Here's how he has performed today.
06.59 (IST): Another wicket! This game is turning around swiftly here! Kumar Sangakkara (1) is gone, caught and bowled by Samuel Badree (Sri Lanka 49/3 in 6.2 overs)
06.52 (IST): Oh dear! Jayawardene (0) is gone with facing a ball as sharp work in the field has resulted in his run out (Sri Lanka 41/2 in 4.2 overs)
06.47 (IST): OUT! Kusal Perera (26) has played the ball onto his stumps off Krishmar Santokie. (Sri Lanka 41/1 in 4 overs)
06.42 (IST): Kusal Perera brings an end to Badree's second over with a six over extra cover. A stroke-filled start from the Lankan openers as they collect 15 runs from the over. (Sri Lanka 32/0 in 3 overs)
ÂÂ
06.40 (IST): SIX! First of the Sri Lankan innings as Dilshan comes down the track and hits Badree for a straight six. (Sri Lanka 23/0 in 2.1 overs)
06.36 (IST): Medium-pacer Krishmar Santokie bowls the second over. He strays down the leg-side to left-handed Kusal Perera who is quick to guide the ball to the fine-leg fence. Twelve runs from the over (Sri Lanka 17/0 in 2 overs; Dilshan 4*, Perera 13*)
06.34 (IST): A tidy start from Badree. Just five runs from it, including a four off Dilshan's bat. (Sri Lanka 5/0 in 1 over; Dilshan 4*, Kusal Perera 1*)
ÂÂ
06.31 (IST): World's No.1 T20 bowler, Samuel Badree will start the proceedings with the ball for the defending champions.
06.24 (IST): Head-to-head: Sri Lanka have been the better side when compared to the West Indies. In the five T20Is between the two teams, Sri Lanka have won on four occasions. However, West Indies won the all-important clash that handed them the ICC World Twenty20 2012 title.

06.12 (IST): The conditions are a bit overcast in Mirpur and there are chances that rain could come into play later on.
