Since 2016, India have reached the final every single time, winning thrice and losing thrice. But those three final defeats have been India's only three losses in the U19 World Cup since 2016. Their record reads an astonishing 35 wins and 3 losses in this period.

Another incredible achievement by the India U19 team: they've clinched the title by winning every single match. 7 games, 7 wins. A perfect record for the boys in blue.

Ayush Mhatre raises the trophy high! "We are happy that we've carried forward the legacy set by Rohit Sharma and Harmanpreet Kaur," says the captain. India are now the reigning T20 World Cup, Women's Cricket World Cup and U19 World Cup champions!

Captain Ayush Mhatre chipped in with both bat and ball. Aaron George slammed a hundred in the semi. Vihaan Malhotra was the star against Bangladesh. Kanishk Chouhan smashed many key cameos, and was the star against Pakistan. RS Ambrish and Henil Patel took 11 wickets each, and Khilan Patel contributed in all three departments.

Twin delight for Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The 14-year-old deservedly wins the 'Player of the Match' award, and also takes home the 'Player of the Series' award. "We have worked together for 8-9 months for this," he says.

Take a bow, Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The pressure was on the 14-year-old heading into the final, as he hadn't slammed a century in the tournament so far. But today he did, and how. 50 off 32. 100 off 55. 150 off 71. 15 sixes, 15 boundaries, and a breathtaking 175 that laid the foundation for India's victory before 25 overs were completed in their innings. 

A special, special, special, special talent. How long till he gets the senior India caps?

Before we celebrate the victorious India U19 side, we must spare a thought for an exceptional England U19 team. Today, they had to climb Mt. Everest, and gave it a good go, led by Caleb Falconer's sensational hundred. Ben Mayes finishes as the top run-scorer of the tournament, while Manny Lamsden was the top wicket-taker. Captain Thomas Rew led from the front, slamming a superb ton in the semi-final. This is a side with several future stars.

This is the biggest margin of victory in terms of runs in an U19 World Cup final - 100-run win for India! The men in blue beat Australia's previous record of a 79-run win. A remarkable achievement for a seriously talented group.

India pacer Harshit Rana has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup on the eve of India's tournament opener against the USA, according to sources. Big blow for the defending champions.

Back-to-back sixes for Vaibhav! Suryavanshi continues his carnage and looks hungry for more. He now has the most sixes in a single U19 World Cup campaign (19). Dewald Brevis hit 18 sixes in the 2022 edition, while Finn Allen struck 18 across the 2016 and 2018 tournaments combined.

Boundaries are coming thick and fast at the moment! England have not been able to trouble Suryavanshi and Mhatre. There are some tense faces in the England dugout. One of the coaches was seen having a chat with Minto during the drinks break.

Amid the ongoing turmoil surrounding Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the T20 World Cup, former England captain Nasser Hussain made a strong remark.
