A seasoned campaigner for India's national team, Raghunath has been prolific in his style of play. There, like in the career-story of most international athletes, have been patches where form has eluded him. He was dropped from the side chosen for the 2010 World Cup as well.
Such setback however have made little impact to the player and have only served him to aspire for a better performance on the field.
His form in the Bhopal senior nationals in 2011 was an example of his determination and was good enough for him to find a place in the national side traveling to London in hopes of grabbing a medal for India.
