Hockey India, which was adamant on not meeting the demands of the players till their last meeting, has succumbed to pressure and declared that the players will be given the money at the earliest.
Hockey India will also introduce grading system similar to cricket. The Sports Ministry has also given assurance to players that they will help in grading system for the payment to players through Hockey India.
The outcome of the meeting produced some positive results as the Hockey players have agreed to resume practice from tomorrow.
It is said that Dhanraj Pillay played an important role in breaking the ice between the players and Hockey India.
Suresh Kalmadi and players will address a press conference in pune later in the day.
