Vani Kapoor Hopes to Continue Winning Streak at Clover Greens

Young golfer Vani Kapoor will hope to continue her winning streak when the 10th leg of Hero Women's Professional Golf Tour tees off at the picturesque Clover Greens Golf Course here on Wednesday.
The Rs 4,00,000 tournament will see Vani start as the favorite, who has just returned from a heroic performance in the LET Access series in Turkey.
The Delhi youngster increased her earnings by Euro 3, 649 to finish third in the Mineks & Regnum Ladies Classic earlier this month.
Vani, who currently leads the Order of Merit with total earnings of Rs 9,55,000 from nine appearances (5 victories and 3 Runners Up) would like to carry forward her winning momentum to consolidate her position at the top of the money list.
The Delhi youngster who is upbeat about her winning streak at the domestic and international circuit will, however, face stiff competition from the Kolkata ladies, veteran Smriti Mehra and Neha Tripathi.
Smriti, who is currently placed 5th in the Hero Order of Merit with total earnings of Rs 4,31,000 from six appearances will be eager to make a comeback after missing the last two legs on the tour.
Smriti will be playing on the tour after a gap of over 50 days, while Neha Tripathi who edged past Vani in the 9th leg to finish, as the best professional would definitely look forward to a repeat performance in the 10th leg.
Neha is currently placed second in the Hero Order of Merit with total earnings of Rs 6,04,000 from 8 appearances.
Some of the golfers to watch out for from the field of 11 (nine professionals and two amateurs), are Delhi's Ankita Tiwana, Chandigarh's Saaniya Sharma, Pune golfer Shweta Galande along with amateurs Anisha Padukone from Bengaluru and Delhi's Gauri Monga.
Hero MotoCorp sponsored Bengaluru golfer Sharmila Nicollet will not be seen in action in the 10th leg as she is nursing an injury.
The 10th leg of Hero Women's Professional Golf Tour will showcase a field of 11 golfers, including nine professionals and two amateur golfers from across India.
