Jerry Kelly and Rod Pampling won Gerg Norman's Merrill Lynch 'Shark Shootout' on Sunday. The duo beat Justin Leonard and Scott Verplank after they bogeyed the first hole of a play-off. Both teams carded rounds of 59 on the final day and headed into the play-off hole on totals of 31-under-par. But then Kelly and Pampling won with a bogey at the first play-off hole after Verplank's approach shot rolled into a water hazard. It was a great day for the rookie pairing as they shared $675,000 at the Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida. The Australian (Pampling) had teamed up with his American partner (Kelly) after Peter Jacobsen dropped out after a hip replacement. (AP)
