Steve Stricker birdied four of his last five holes to capture the Barclays Open by 2 strokes over K.J. Choi on Sunday in New York.
Stricker carded a 2-under 69 to finish at -16, en route to his first win since 2001.
Choi holed two birdie putts at .12 and .15 that were of a combined 95 foot distance to take a 1 shot lead before Stricker went on his late run.
Along with the fourth victory of his career, Stricker moved to the top of the FedEx Cup standings with 2,050-point lead over Choi, who closed with a 70.
