Mumbai:
The Indian team is gearing up for the start of the inaugural A-1 Grand Prix season.
The season's first racing calendar has been confirmed and for the first time teams from all over the world will be competing on a level playing field.
The first race is on September 25 in England, but Team India has a problem a€" their number one driver Karun Chandok is yet to be cleared to race for India.
For the moment Karun has been signed on a contract for just the first two races of the Grand Prix. The champion was already under contract with another sponsor a€" an issue he expects will be sorted soon.
The Indian team has received a boost with Karun Chandok being allowed to participate in the race and fans hope that some more Karthikeyan's may emerge for international events like these.
