Five-time Formula One champion Michael Schumacher spun his Ferrari off the Circuit de Catalunya track on Tuesday in his first practice lap since winning his latest title in October. Luckily, he escaped unhurt. Schumacher blamed the morning mishap on a course slickened by overnight moisture. The race track released a statement calling the incident inconsequential and said Schumacher's car suffered only minor damage. The 2003 Formula One championship begins on March 9 in Australia. The other teams practicing in Barcelona are Jaguar, BAR and Jordan. (AP)
