Michael Schumacher gave some insight into his life outside of Formula One.

Schumi on life after racing

For the first time in his life, Michael Schumacher is getting used to being in the back seat. The German watched the final round of the Dubai Desert Classic in UAE on Sunday - able to relax and enjoy his retirement after so many years battling it out behind the wheel. So how has life been since leaving formula one?"So far pretty nice. You mentioned pressure - which is the key factor in normal life. Before, you had permanently the thought about your sport, what was necessary, how to improve and so on. At the moment, I don't have that," said Schumacher. No easy taskReplacing the seven-times world champion was never going to be an easy task. The Italian outfit plumped for Kimi Raikonnen, the Finn making the switch from McLaren - a decision which has Schumacher's full backing."Myself, being out of the business, in terms of a driver replacement I think at the moment there is only a few drivers on the market at absolute top level. With Kimi, we believe we have made a very good choice to have him in our team," he said.Being able to wander down the fairways of a golf course in February must be a novel feeling for Schumacher - who would be well used to putting in hard testing sessions on track this year.Role in Ferrari His relationship with Ferrari is not at an end however - the 38-year old will have a role with the Italian manufacturer, as yet unspecified."It's not very clear definition made to my role in Ferrari so far. Simply for the fact that I don't want it to be, because I am lucky to have a team like this - with me, they still want to involve me, they still want to use my abilities and they are happy enough to leave it up to me where I want to be involved and where not," he added. Also in Dubai on Sunday was tennis star Roger Federer, another sportsman whose ability is unrivalled.Schumacher's decision to leave the world of Formula One at the end of last season came at the end of a campaign which demonstrated he had lost none of his competitive edge. There is little doubt the German would be as good as any driver lining up for the new season - not that he is tempted to make a comeback. For the moment, Schumacher is content to hand out the prizes rather than receive them - giving Henrik Stenson his prize for winning the Dubai Desert Classic - and slowly get used to life out of the fast lane.
