Indianapolis:
The Indianapolis Grand Prix this weekend will be Jean Alesi's 200th race, Mika Hakinnen's second last race before he takes a sabbatical and of course it will be the first major international sports event in the United States after the terrorist attacks on September 11.
Juan Pablo Montoya, who won the Italian Grand Prix for his first win definitely is one to watch. He makes a return to the circuit where he won the Indy 500 as a Cart driver.
Hakinnen, currently sixth in the driver's standings, reiterated once again that he is definitely taking a year off to spend more time with his family and perhaps for golf.
"No, I think being in Formula One for so many years, it's the time when you feel that I have achieved a lot and you start to fell the time where you are tired and you cannot 100 per cent focus anymore and you don't do any good for yourself and you don't do any good for the team," said Hakinnen.
Michael Schumacher, who wrapped up the world championship title a long time ago is in USA despite reports that he wanted to skip the last two races of the season. His job isn't quite done yet. He still has to try and ensure Ferrari a 1-2 finish by helping Ruben Barichello go past David Coulthard for overall second place.
