Even before the FIFA World Cup officially gets underway, Portugal's poster-boy Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a blinder!

The Real Madrid star - known as much for his football as for his drop-dead looks - has appeared in the latest edition of Vogue Spain in a series of racy photos. One of Europe's top goal-scorers, Ronaldo was 'almost spot-on' during the shoot. (Irina Shayk Goes Topless)

Posing in front of the camera, Ronaldo was content playing the role of an assist to his Russian girlfriend Irina Shayk - known as much for her modelling career as her 'drop-dead-recover-drop-dead-again' allure.

While both Ronaldo and Irina have done a plethora of photo-shoots, this was their debut in front of the camera as a 'couple'. Veteran glossy photographer Mario Testino is renowned for his epic photography but he didn't have to work too hard this time. After all, the coverline - 'Amor & Futbol' meaning 'Love and Football - coupled with Ronaldo and Irina in their 'absolute minimals' were sure to make headlines in the world of fashion anyway! Interestingly, the photoshoot was done in March - well before Ronaldo began preparing for his team's World Cup campaign. Come June though, Ronaldo would be seen in Portuguese colours even as Irina reserves her cheer for the Russian side. But who needs lessons in patriotism anyway as long as chapters of this electric chemistry keep coming. (Ronaldo Pulls Out of Espanyol Game)
