FC Sion lost their latest legal case against football authorities after a Bern regional court rejected the club's request for an injunction against the deduction of 36 league points by the Swiss Football Association.
The Swiss FA says it is "satisfied" with the ruling which leaves Sion stuck on minus-4 points in a Swiss top division reduced to nine teams with Neuchatel Xamax having collapsed into bankruptcy.
Sion can appeal to Bern Canton (state) High Court.
The Swiss FA punished Sion after they broke football statutes by challenging FIFA, UEFA and the Swiss League in civil courts.
Sion flouted rules by trying to register six players signed during a transfer embargo imposed by FIFA because the club's 2008 signing of goalkeeper Essam el Hadary breached regulations.
