Two goals in three minutes early in the second half saw Spain get back to winning ways in group seven of the European World Cup qualifiers on Saturday with a 2-0 defeat of Belgium in Santander.
Deportivo La Coruna striker Alberto Luque opened the scoring on the hour, just seven minutes after coming on as a substitute.
Real Madrid marksman Raul added a second from Michel Salgado's cross before the visitors could recover.
Belgium finished the game with nine men on the field, Eric Deflandre and Bart Goor receiving red cards for dissent and spitting respectively.
A relieved Spain go joint top on four points with Lithuania and Serbia-Montenegro. (AP)
