Placed in a tough Group A, Army Green have now managed to conjure up a total of 8 points from five matches to finish second in the group and qualify for the semis.
I-League club Sporting Clube de Goa, meanwhile, have missed out on a last-four birth, having managed just seven points from their five games.
DSK Shivajians, who made their debut in the I-League earlier this year, also made it to the semis with 10 points from the five games.
At the Harbaksh Singh stadium, Imphal-based Neroca FC drew 2-2 with Army Red in a closely contested game. In the process, Neroca finished their schedule of matches and have qualified for the semi finals with nine points from five matches, the same number as Aizawl FC, who have played a game less.
