Khedira, the club's newest recruit for the upcoming season, has been battling injuries for the last couple of summers which led to him leaving Spanish giants Real Madrid for the Italian club on a free transfer.
The 28-year-old suffered the latest blow on Saturday while playing a pre-season friendly against Marseille and had to be stretchered off the field in the first half.
"Sami Khedira will be sidelined for approximately two months after medical examinations revealed a second-grade myotendinous tear of the rectus femoris muscle in his right thigh," said a statement on the Juventus website.
"The German midfielder sustained the injury during Saturday's pre-season friendly against Olympique Marseille at the Stade Velodrome," it added.
Reportedly, the 2015 Champions League finalists are also keen on roping in Argentine defensive midfielder Javier Mascherano to boost their defences and supply line.
