Milan:
Inter Milan says Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic will join the club for the start of next season.
Inter president Erick Thohir says in a club statement on Wednesday that Vidic is "one of the world's best defenders and his qualities, international pedigree, and charisma will be an asset."
No contract details were disclosed.
Vidic said last month he would be leaving United at the end of this season after eight years at Old Trafford. His contract expires this summer, so he will join Inter on a free transfer.
The Serbian center back joined United from Spartak Moscow for 7 million pounds in 2006.
