London:

Michael Laudrup has pledged his future to Swansea City, he told the South Wales Evening Post in an interview published on Thursday, amid reports that he was in line for a move to French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

"I have repeated it so many times in the last three months. My intention is to stay," the former Denmark international was quoted as saying.

Laudrup clarified his position in the light of reports that the English Premier League club had severed ties with his long-time agent because of disagreements about money available for new signings, prompting fears that it could prompt him to leave the Liberty Stadium.

But the 48-year-old said the issue did not affect him: "The only thing I care about is to have the best players possible at Swansea who are within range of the economy of the club."

The manager's comments came as French sports daily L'Equipe claimed that PSG owners had opened discussions with a view to him taking over from Carlo Ancelotti, who has been linked with a move to the vacant post at Real Madrid.
