Torrential rain may have caused the German derby between Hamburg and St. Pauli to be postponed, but the downpours didn't dampen supporters' enthusiasm as groups of fans fought running battles.
Police said 45 fans had been arrested after a groups of around 200 fans clashed on Hamburg's streets prompting the use of tear gas to disperse the feuding supporters.
Smoke bombs and bottles were thrown in the fighting which lasted for around two hours on Saturday.
