Bergisch Gladbach:
Emerson and Kaka remain doubtful starters for Brazil's World Cup quarterfinal match against France despite improving considerably from their injuries.
Brazil doctor Jose Luiz Runco said the midfielders were 70 per cent fit but that it was still too early to know whether they would recover in time for Saturday's match in Frankfurt.
"They improved considerably but still feel some pain. To play they will need to have recovered 100 per cent from the injuries," said Runco.
Kaka and Emerson did not practice with the rest of the Brazilian squad on Thursday at the team's training camp in Bergisch Gladbach, outside Cologne.
The two regular starting 11 players stayed at the hotel undergoing physiotherapy treatment.
Kaka and Emerson injured their ankles and strained knee ligaments in Brazil's 3-0 win over Ghana on Tuesday, Runco said.
Lucio injured
Defender Lucio also was injured against Ghana, but practiced normally on Thursday and was available to play tomorrow, Runco said.
Another player who received special attention from doctors' on Thursday was Robinho, who is still nursing a muscle injury.
The striker, who missed the match against Ghana, participated in practice but was not allowed to shoot on goal.
It wasn't immediately clear whether he would be available for the match against France. (AP)
