Lionel Messi says India left a lasting impression on him

Argentine superstar Lionel Messi said on Friday, that India left a "lasting impression" on him when he set foot on the country nearly three years ago, in a visit that was marked by a never-seen-before hysteria among football fans.
"The last time I stepped into India, I was overwhelmed with the warmth and passion this country showered on me. India left its famously lasting impression and with that lingering memory, my family and I have always wanted to develop an association with the country," Messi said.
Messi, along with his Argentine teammates, was in Kolkata in August 2011 for a FIFA international friendly match against Venezuela.
Celebrity commerce company Collectabillia, in partnership with iAccy, announced on Friday, its association with the four-time Ballon D'Or winner for exclusive rights to manufacture, retail and distribute a range of covers for mobiles, laptops and tablets under the player's own brand, Messi.
"Collectabillia will provide the perfect platform to keep growing the brand and they will also help us creating an opportunity to connect with the fans globally through those accessories. I hope fans will enjoy what we have in store for them," Messi said about the association.
The association with the footballer marks a significant achievement for an Indian company, propelling them as one of the licensors of the global development of the new range of different product categories under Messi's brand.
