Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler has made his move to Thailand official, signing a one-year deal with local club Muang Thong United.
The 36-year-old Briton said Sunday he will wear the No. 9 shirt and is set to debut with the two-time Thailand Premier League champion on July 31 in a home match against Bangkok Glass.
Fowler's contract is worth about 20 million baht ($670,000), the team said.
Fowler, who passed a physical exam Saturday, said he was impressed with the team and expects them to go on to "bigger and better things."
