Bayern Munich's Austrian defender David Alaba has agreed a deal to extend his contract with the European champions until 2018, the Bundesliga club announced on Monday.
The 21-year-old international left-back joined Bayern at the age of 16 and is regarded as one of the best defenders in the European game.
"He is one of the best and most talented defenders in Europe and we're delighted to continue working with him," read a club statement from president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Alaba has been a regular at left-back for Bayern and played a key role in their historic treble-winning 2012-13 season in which they won the Champions League, Bundesliga and the German Cup.
