Fernando Baiano and Fabian Canobbio both scored Sunday, and Celta Vigo downed Atletico Madrid 2-1 to move into third place in the Spanish league. Baiano scored his sixth goal of the season in the 27th minute at Celta's Balaidos stadium, beating charging Atletico goalkeeper Leo Franco. The Brazilian striker's initial shot was blocked by a defender but the striker calmly chipped the rebound into the net. Uruguay midfielder Canobbio doubled Celta's lead in the 54th minute with a floated free kick from just outside the area which Franco could only tip onto the crossbar and into the net. Spain international Antonio Lopez reduced the deficit seven minutes later with a powerful header from Ariel Ibagaza's corner. (AP)
