Bittencourt leaves Dortmund for Hannover

Bittencourt came to Dortmund from Cottbus but made only five Bundesliga appearances in the past season.

Leonardo Bittencourt is leaving Champions League runner-up Borussia Dortmund to join Bundesliga rival Hannover.

Hannover says the midfielder received a four-year contract.

Bittencourt came to Dortmund from Cottbus but made only five Bundesliga appearances in the past season.

Dortmund finished a distant second behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga last season while Hannover was ninth.
