Several Spanish movie theatres are scheduled to premiere the documentary "Barca Dreams" next week, which explains to the world that Barcelona is more than a mere sporting club.
The two-hour motion picture was produced with the collaboration of various organisations and media outlets and co-financed by the Mallorcan motorbike rider Jorge Lorenzo, who highlighted his passion for football and cinema during the movie's presentation on Thursday, Efe reported.
"It has been an honour to form part of this project and to help everyone to understand why Barca is more than a club," Lorenzo said.
The movie will be screened in Mexico and other countries in Central America, Asia and England.
Shooting the documentary started in January 2010 after Barcelona won six major tournaments (Copa Del Rey, La Liga, UEFA Champions League, Supercopa de Espana, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup).
The film will be screened in Spain on October 9.
