Indian hospitality has touched a special chord with England's Kevin Pietersen and the batsman now has made celebrating Diwali, a part of his tour itinerary.
Pietersen, who top-scored for his team in the second ODI at Ferozeshah Kotla on Monday, said that it was a great time to be in India. "It is the season which- when you travel around the world you want to get involved with the what is going on with that country in that particular time and I think because it is such a happy time here in India," he was quoted by news agencies as saying.
Though England have lost both matches played in the ongoing series so far, Pietersen feels that while not training for the remaining games, he would love to be invited for the festivities in the coming week. "When we get to Kolkata, I will be speaking to a few people and see what is happening that day. I am sure if there is something happening then I can be invited to, well and then I will party."
