Vice-Captain Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina are expected to gain useful match practice as their side Air India - Red set to take on BSNL in the opening game of the one-day tournament for the Sahara BCCI Corporate Tournament here on Tuesday.
Yuvraj and Raina were part of the four-day preparatory camp, which concluded on Sunday, for the coming tri-series in Sri Lanka followed by Champions Trophy in South Africa.
With the likes of Yuvraj, Raina, Irfan Pathan, Robin Uthappa and Naman Ozha in their ranks, Air India look a formidable side for the telecom men, led by Joginder Singh.
The day-night match will be staged at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, which would also play host to the first semi-final on September five and final on September eight.
Twelve teams, split into four groups, feature in the tournament, to be played in Mohali, Vishakhapatnam and Dharamsala, besides Bangalore.
Air India - Red: Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, Robin Uthappa, Naman Ozha, Sushant Marathe, Paul Valthaty, Suresh Raina, Ankeet Chavan, Siddharth Trivedi, Moondeep Mangela, Dhawal Kulkarni, Rohan Kerkar, Harmeet Singh, Hrishikesh Kanitkar, Ajit Chandila, Narendra Hirwani, Pritam Gandhe, Rohit Prakash and Saurabh Netravalkar.
BSNL: Joginder Singh, Ankur Kakkar, Arindam Das, Amit Patil, Varun Kumar, Anshul Kapoor, N S Negi, BBCC Mahapatra, Sanjay Bamel, Niranjan Behera, Kamlesh Makwana, Sanjeev Kumar, Jyoriraditya Singh, Sunil Dholpure.
