But it's been an exceptional innings from Dan Lawrence, he missed out on a well-deserved century here. Jason Holder delivers this on a length, shaping away, outside off. Dan Lawrence leans in and drives it towards cover, but he does so with the outer half of his bat and the ball lobs up and goes straight to Kraigg Brathwaite at cover, who pouches it safely. Ben Foakes is enticed into playing the drive but the ball is slower and there's turn on offer too. Foakes gets beaten in flight and Joshua Da Silva has way too much time to whips off the bails. Foakes departs with a score of 499 and finally there's some respite for Permaul.  499/7

Roach steams in and digs in another short ball, around the batter's helmet. Chris Woakes looks to take it on as he makes a bit of room and attempts the swat. The ball goes off the toe end of the bat and towards mid-wicket. A couple of fielders converge but its Jayden Seales who runs in from deep mid-wicket and takes a fine sliding catch.  503/8

168.4 OUT! TIMBER! There is the end of a marathon innings from Brathwaite. He falls after facing 11 balls less than 500. A standing ovation for him as he walks off and rightly so. He has led from the front for his side. Also, something special was needed to get rid of him and Leach has provided it. The third new ball does the trick. This starts on off, drifts in, it lands around middle and leg and then spins away sharply. Brathwaite looks to defend but the ball turns enough to go past the outside edge and hit the off pole. 44.3 OUT! LBW! The centurion from the previous match is gone! Ben Stokes is having a dream of a Test match and he gets the big breakthrough. A length ball, this is slanted in from well outside off. Nkrumah Bonner is pushed onto the back foot as he looks to flick it away. Bonner gets caught on the crease and gets trapped in front. He reviews it straightaway. The third umpire checks UltraEdge thoroughly as there is a spike but it is off the pads and the ball just missed the bat, he concludes. Ball Tracker shows that the impact is in line and the ball is just hitting the top of off. England in the driving seat now and Bonner has to walk back.  101/3

112.1 OUT! LBW! Well, what happened here? A moment of real lapse in concentration from Jermaine Blackwood and he has to walk back. This is nicely flighted, on a length and around off. The ball turns in and Blackwood shoulders arms. He gets trapped in plumb in front and the finger is raised. It is reviewed but Blackwood doesn't seem confident. No shot was offered so impact doesn't matter. Ball Tracker shows that it is hitting middle stump and Blackwood is livid with himself. Dan Lawrence has done it again as he gets the wicket of yet another centurion and its the end of a brilliant knock from Blackwood.  284/4

136.1 OUT! TAKEN! That is a sharp, sharp catch! It flew to him. Finally, England manage to get the nightwatchman out who we feel has done his job. Not the best of deliveries though to dismiss him. It is short and wide outside off, Alzarri Joseph throws his bat at it, it goes more off the outer half and quickl to Dan Lawrence at gully. He takes it nicely. Windies trail by another 171. 151.2 OUT! CAUGHT! What a joyous occasion for Saqib Mahmood as he picks up his maiden Test wicket and it has come right after the break for England. Saqib Mahmood bowls this little short this time, on middle. Jason Holder looks to heave it away but miscues it high up in the air towards the mid on region. Matthew Fisher there waits and waits, settles himself under the skier and pouches it with both the hands. A really good catch by him and Saqib Mahmood is pumped up. Spectacular catch from Matthew Fisher and England just wicket away from getting into the tail enders.  351/6

187.5 OUT! LBW! Jack Leach's perseverance pays off. He has bowled almost 70 overs and ends the proceedings for West Indies. He has a big smile on his face. A marathon effort from him. Bowls a flatter ball, on middle and leg, Joshua Da Silva lunges forward to defend but misses. He gets hit on the pads. England appeal and the umpire agrees. Joshua Da Silva reviews it immediately. Zak Crawley goes for the pull. It comes off the splice of the bat to wide of deep square leg. Jayden Seales sprints in from fine leg and takes it with both hands. Takes it inches above the ground. He still throws the kitchen sink at it and smashes it to long on. Didn't hit it off the middle and Alzarri Joseph takes a simple catch. 27.5 OUT! TAKEN! There was just the one man close-in on the off side and Stokes has picked him out perfectly. This is full and outside off, Stokes looks to hit it hard but straight to Kraigg Brathwaite at covers. Windies continue to chip away at the wickets.  110/4

34.5 OUT! CAUGHT! Good take from Kemar Roach in the deep and Jonny Bairstow has to walk back. Jayden Seales gets his man. Full and outside off, Jonny Bairstow couldn't quite get underneath it. He heaves it to long off where Kemar Roach charges ahead and takes a good sharp low catch. Half the side back in the hut and England has a lead of 257! Maybe they will look to add another 50 before we see a declaration?  161/5

6 OUT! CAUGHT! Jack Leach strikes in his first over and he is once again showing his worth. Great review taken by England. Fantastic start by Jack Leach.  Pitches this around off and it turns into Campbell sharply again. He looks to defend off the front foot but gets the inside edge onto his pads and the ball loops in the air towards short leg. Lees there takes a fine catch and England appeal. However, the umpire is not interested and England review. The replays roll in and the UltraEdgte shows that there is glove involved there and England have an early breakthrough here.  14/1

9 OUT! CAUGHT! Second wicket down now and West Indies are in early trouble. Great presence of mind shown by the English skipper, Root. Back of a length, outside off. Brooks looks to punch it towards covers. However, he gets a thick outside edge to second slip. Zak Crawley there fails to pouch it in the first attempt and the ball goes behind him. He then tries to catch it with his right hand in the second attempt but fails and the ball pops up in the air. Root at first slip is aware and takes a catch moving to his right, Brilliant stuff from the English skipper. It was also the first catch in the slip cordon of this Test.  23/2

12.1 OUT!  EDGED AND TAKEN! Number three down and West Indies are now in serious trouble here. Saqib Mahmood delivering the goods. The extra bounce causes problems. Length and on off, this lands and takes off. Bonner looks to defend. It goes off the outside edge to the Root at first slip.  39/3

36.5 OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! The stand, which was frustrating England has been breached. Leach is the one to do the job and it is game on now. 6 more wickets to be taken with over 25 overs left. Lovely nut. It lands on middle and then spins away. Blackwood looks to defend but it goes off the outside edge to Bairstow who is in the gully region but very, very close. He has his helmet and is on his knees. It goes straight to him and he makes no mistake.  89/4

44.3 OUT! TAKEN! That is a brilliant catch by Lawrence! You need to hang onto the half chances in such games and Lawrence has done so. The big wicket is Holder has been taken. Leach is the one yet again. That though is a loose stroke from Holder. It is short and outside off. Turns away. Holder pushes at it away from the body. He hits it uppishly towards cover. Dan dives to his left and takes it brilliantly. Five more wickets needed. Still a lot of time left in this game.  93/5
