Statistical highlights after the fifth day's play of the third Test between India and New Zealand on Tuesday.

  • India and New Zealand have played the first drawn game at Basin Reserve, Wellington. After winning the inaugural Test between the two countries in February 1968 by 8 wickets, India lost the next four in a row before drawing the just concluded Test.

  • India have now won five Tests each in Australia, England and New Zealand.

  • India (1-0) recorded their second series win against New Zealand in New Zealand after 41 years - their first being in 1967-68 (3-1).

  • For the first time in New Zealand, India have recorded Test as well ODI series wins in the same season.

  • Under Dhoni's captaincy, India have won five out of seven played (Drawn two).

  • Ross Taylor registered his fourth century - his second against India.

  • Taylor has recorded two centuries each against England and India.

  • Of his four hundreds, three have been recorded by Taylor in New Zealand.

  • Taylor became the third batsman in the series to register two centuries, joining Jesse Ryder and Gautam Gambhir.

  • Taylor is the fifth batsman in the series to make 300 runs - the leading run-getters in the series are: Gambhir (445), Tendulkar (344), Ryder (327), Taylor (322), Dravid (314), Laxman (295) and McCullum (232).

  • Harbhajan Singh is the leading wicket-taker in the series - 16 at an average of 21.37.

  • Harbhajan registered his best overseas performance in the series, bettering the 16 wickets at an average of 28.12 in the three-Test series against Sri Lanka in 2008.

  • In the Test series against New Zealand, he sent down 28 maiden overs - the most by him in any overseas series, bettering his previous tally of 25 against Zimbabwe in the two-Test series in 2001.

  • Harbhajan's second innings figures of 4/59 are his best at Basin Reserve, bettering his first innings figures of 3 for 43.

  • Ross Taylor and James Franklin put on 142 runs for the fifth wicket - New Zealand's best against India, bettering the 140 between Craig McMillan and Adam Parore at Hamilton in January 1999.

  • Dravid, with three catches in New Zealand's second innings, has equalled an Indian record for most catches at Basin Reserve, held by Ajit Wadekar, V.Subramanya and Dilip Vengsarkar.

  • Iain O'Brien (19 not out) has equalled his best score in Tests. He made made 19 in the first innings of the just concluded Wellington Test.

  • Gautam Gambhir (23 & 167) got his first MOM award against New Zealand - his second overall. He had got his first MOM award against England at Mohali for making 179 & 97 in December 2008.
