Sachin Tendulkar is getting inundated with paintings as the 40-year-old bids goodbye to Test cricket. This week, while playing his 199th Test at Eden Gardens, Tendulkar received at least three paintings from distinguished Kolkata personalities, including West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee. Now the Board of Control for Cricket In India is also planning to gift the legend a painting as a thank you present. (Read: 'Please come again', Mamata Banerjee tells Sachin Tendulkar)

The BCCI has commissioned veteran Vadodara painter Musa Kacchi to paint Tendulkar's 'gift'. The painting will be a portrait of Tendulkar wearing Team India's traditional blue colours. Kacchi has imported special colours from England to paint Tendulkar on canvas. The painting aims to capture Tendulkar's mood and intensity as a top-notch cricketer. The Mumbai Cricket Association is also going to present Tendulkar a painting as a farewell gift. This painting is being created by Nashik-based Prafull Sawant. But unlike Kacchi's work, a portrait, Sawant's will be a painting of a major Maharashtrian landscape, probably the busy Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in the heart of the Mumbai.

On Friday, West Bengal chief minister presented Tendulkar a personally painted work after India thrashed West Indies by an innings and 51 runs inside three days to go up 1-0 in the two-Test contest, also being called as Tendulkar's farewell series.
