Northampton:
Jonathan Trott's century guided England Lions to a five-wicket win over West Indies A in their triangular series one-day match at the County Ground on Tuesday.
West Indies A's Kirk Edwards made a superb 147 in 132 balls as the tourists posted 278 for six in their 50 overs.
But England Test batsmen Trott (118), Alastair Cook (71) and Ian Bell (44) saw the 'A' side to victory.
Ajmal Shahzad removed Devon Smith, the touring team's captain, first ball and Andre Fletcher was then bowled by Chris Woakes.
Edwards though batted for 10 minutes shy of three hours and struck three sixes and 18 fours.
Cook, not needed in the England squad currently 3-0 up in their one-day series against Australia, captained the Lions and opened with Surrey wicketkeeper Steven Davies.
But after Davies fell for 11, Cook and Trott shared a second-wicket stand of 113, with Cook's fifty coming off 52 balls.
Trott also omitted from the one-day squad, did his best to show he could perform well in one-day, as well as Test, mode with a hundred off 102 balls before he was out shortly before England crossed the finishing line.
