Kolkata:
A senior Trinamool Congress leader on Monday refused to comment on whether the party would make a similar overture to former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, who has already been offered a ticket by the BJP to contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
"No comments", TMC general secretary Mukul Roy told PTI in Kolkata on Monday, responding to a question in this regard.
Ganguly had said on Sunday that he had not yet given a thought to the BJP's offer to contest the general elections.
With the BJP offering him a ticket, West Bengal Pradesh Congress president Pradip Bhattacharya met him at his residence on Sunday, while the CPI(M) claimed he had always been with the party.
