Sundar Raman Joins Reliance After Indian Premier League Exit
Sundar Raman resigned as the COO of the Indian Premier League after Shashank Manohar took over as BCCI president. Raman will now head Reliance's sports initiatves.

In addition to the existing sports properties of the group and its non-profit foundation, Sundar Raman will be driving newer avenues of growth in this area, as also the integration with the digital services of Jio, a company statement said on Monday.
Raman had resigned from his position, putting an end to the intense speculation over his future in the wake of the change of regime in the BCCI. In an effort to clean up the system, the BCCI has promptly accepted Raman's resignation. "Sundar brings with him a rich and unique experience of over two decades in understanding consumer insights and as a pioneer in the growth of sporting properties in India," the statement added.
Over the past few years, the group has invested in a variety of sports properties, including cricket, football, basketball, tennis and golf. (Sundar Raman, the Brain Behind IPL and N. Srinivasan)
