London:
England skipper Andrew Strauss has warned fast bowler Stuart Broad to keep his fiery temper under control in the pressure cooker of the Ashes later this year.
Broad had to apologise to umpire Rod Tucker after failing to turn around for an lbw shout during the first Test against Bangladesh in Chittagong.
In the second Test, Broad appeared to launch a brief appeal to umpire Tony Hill even though he had clean-bowled Mushfiqur Rahim, in an act of apparent petulance. Hill had earlier turned down a strong appeal from the bowler.
"It is something he has got to be aware of," said Strauss, who skipped the Bangladesh tour to recharge his batteries in time for the Ashes challenge in Australia.
"It has been picked up on. He hasn't had any complaints from the match referees but it is not a direction you really want to go down because it ends up distracting you from what is important.
"He has to be careful but I am sure he understand the situation and will rein himself in."
