  • Sri Lanka, with their 319 for eight have registered the following records:

    - Their highest total against South Africa in ODIs.

    - Highest by a visiting team against South Africa at Centurion.

    - First team to post a total of 300-plus against South Africa in the ICC Champions Trophy.

    - Their first total of 300-plus in South Africa.

    - Their highest total in the ICC Champions Trophy

    - Second highest in the ICC Champions Trophy, next only to New Zealand's 347 for four against USA at The Oval on 10.9.2004.

  • Dilshan and Kumar Sangakkara put on 158 for the second wicket - Sri Lanka's best for any wicket against South Africa in ODIs. The said partnership is a Sri Lankan record for the second wicket against South Africa

  • Sri Lanka's aforesaid stand is their best ever for the second wicket in the ICC Champions Trophy.
