Brad Hodge has posted his second fifty in the IPL - 70 not out off 43 balls.
Hodge (230) is the fourth player to amass 200 runs or more in the 2009 edition of the IPL, joining Matthew Hayden (246), Suresh Raina (232) and Brad Hodge (230).
Yusuf Abdulla has extended his record for most wickets in the second edition of the IPL - 14 (ave.12.78) in seven games.
The leading wicket-takers in the second edition are: Abdulla (14), RP Singh (12), Malinga (11), Ojha (10), Balaji (10) and Kumble (10).
Hodge and Ganguly were associated in a stand of 51 runs for the third wicket, which is - Kolkata's best against Punjab in the IPL.
Kumar Sangakkara has posted his first duck in the IPL.
Simon Katich (34) has recorded his best innings in the 2009 edition.
Mahela Jayawardene has posted his maiden fifty in the IPL.
Jayawardene received his second MOM award in the IPL.
Kings XI Punjab is the third side after Deccan Chargers and Delhi Daredevils to post the fourth victory in the second edition of the IPL. Kings XI Punjab are placed second behind Deccan Chargers because of their better run-rate.
Deccan, Kings XI and Delhi have got eight points each in the second edition.
Kolkata Knight Riders' 153 for 3 is their highest total in the 2009 edition of the IPL, bettering the 150 for eight against Rajasthan at Cape Town on April 23,2009.
