# Tillakaratne Dilshan has been adjudged the Man of the Match for the tenth time in ODIs - his fourth against India.
 
# In 2010, Dilshan has received four Man of the Match awards.
 
# Tillakaratne Dilshan (110) has posted his first hundred at home, bettering the 97 against India at Colombo (RPS) on February 8, 2009.
 
# Dilshan's eighth hundred in ODIs is his third hundred against India.
 
# Virender Sehwag is the top run-scorer in the just concluded tournament - 268 in five matches at an average of 67.00.  His tally includes a hundred and a fifty.
 
# Sehwag has received his first Player of the series award
 
# Sri Lanka's 74-run convincing win is their 50th in 128 matches against India - winning % 42.73 (Lost 67 and NR 11).

# Jayawardene became the 13th player and the third Sri Lankan after Aravinda de Silva and Sanath Jayasuriya to complete 9000 runs in ODIs.  He is the first player to have taken more than 300 innings (307) to register the feat.  
 
# Kumar Sangakkara's 14th fifty against India is his 58th in ODIs.
 
# Sangakkara's excellent knock of 71 off 62 balls is his tenth fifty in 30 innings as captain
 
# Praveen Kumar (10-0-72-1) has recorded his worst bowling performance away from home.
 
# Mahendra Singh Dhoni (67) has posted his highest knock (third fifty) in a Grand Final.  His 37th fifty in ODIs is his 13th against Sri Lanka.
 
# Thisara Perera (3/36) has produced his best performance in a Grand Final.
 
# Suraj Randiv (3/40) has produced his best bowling performance against India.
 
# Praveen Kumar, with 9 wickets at 23.66, is the top wicket-taker in the competition.  Three bowlers - Perera, Mills and Nehra - have taken eight wickets each.
